Aurora, meaning "The dawn of a new day", has a peaceful, tranquil, ambience. The village is named after Ceylonia Aurora Ferreira, the daughter of the first Dutch Reformed minister in the area. Aurora is a small quaint town, where the only interruption is the abundant birdlife - otherwise you can hear the "peace" - something to enjoy away from the hectic pace of the city.

"Diamond of the West Coast". 2½ hours from Cape Town - this seafood mecca in the heart of the Crayfish route is the most popular venue for visitors all over the country and from afar.

The Bird Island Nature Reserve shelters a breeding colony of Cape gannets and is also home to penguins and Cape fur seals. Open-air restaurants are a traditional way to enjoy true West Coast cuisine and memorable moments are watching whales and dolphins and viewing the spectacular edge to edge floral carpets that cover the West Coast in the flower season - ( August to September) each year.

Better known as the "Potato Capital" of the West Coast Sandveld region. Redelinghuys has a true magical beauty of its own and features one of the largest natural wetlands on the West Coast. The Verlorenvlei is a bird lover's haven, attracting a wide variety of permanent and migratory birds. The Verlorenvlei can be explored on foot, or spend a day paddling on its calm waters.
