Dwarskersbos was originally a farm, named after the Kersbos which grows abundantly in this area. Tourists flock to Dwarskersbos for fun in the West Coast Sun. This Spectacular coastline stretches for miles and offers an angling paradise as well as pristine white beaches for holiday makers. Rocher Pan Nature Reserve, which borders on the beach, is also a great tourist attraction.

A paradise for Surfers! We are told this is where the "big wave" can be found, and it is rumoured the second largest wave in the world !! Valuable archeological finds in this area have been made. The Verlorenvlei which starts at Redelinghuys ends at Elands Bay and the area is a haven for over 300 bird species. Fresh and seawater angling is another great attraction, rock-art, mountaineering ,surfing & 4 x 4 are all part of the Elands Bay scene. That's the splendour of our "Coast of Dreams "
