"Namaqualand by the sea". This beautiful, isolated, West Coast village is situated half way between Saldanha and Vredenburg. Because of building regulations, all the dwellings have a remarkable resemblance, which controbutes to its unique splendour. During spring the fields are covered in wild flowers, ranging from white, yellow, violet, orange and blue. Although Jacobsbaai mostly comprises rocky bays & peninsulas, it also has a beautiful white beach. With its abundant seafood (fish, crayfish, mussels and abalone) and rocky coastline, Jacobsbaai is the perfect retreat to escape to.
Paternoster - Latin for "Our Father". Situated 15km north-west of Vredenburg is Paternoster, a charming

traditional fisherman's village. The beautiful beaches and rocky bays offer many activities: whale watching, sea kayaking, hiking & much more. Tietiesbaai is a camp site situated in the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve, which is only 3 km away. The last manually controlled lighthouse in South Africa was built in 1936 and can be viewed by visiting the Reserve.

Also known as "Agterbaai", this tranquil country village has a bustling fishing harbour. The beautiful calm waters of the St. Helena Bay are home to whales and dolphins all year round and the area is also a bird watcher's paradise.
